The story
RackBuddy was born in 2013, when we ourselves faced a storage challenge and found ourselves stuck between cheap, inflexible and fragile standard solutions – and expensive, custom-made carpenter solutions.
We decided to do something about it.
We created a concept that stretches durability, stretches affordability – and most importantly: stretches the possibilities of tailoring storage exactly to your needs.

The product
The beauty of iron
From the very beginning, we had no doubt: RackBuddy had to be built in iron.
Yes, aluminium is cheaper. But it doesn’t feel right. And it isn’t built to last a lifetime. The strength, stability, and weight we want in our solutions can only come from iron.
When you hold our materials in your hands, you feel the difference immediately. It’s honest. Solid. Unfiltered. We don’t believe in materials that try to be something they’re not.
That’s why we use a specially developed clear coating that protects the iron and preserves its natural colour – without rubbing off on your clothes. Raw in expression. Refined in finish.
Iron is the backbone of our entire system. But when we combine it with veneered oak in our shelves, dressers, and cabinets, balance emerges: the robust meets the warm. The industrial meets the homely.
We use the same quality of wood that cabinetmakers use for handcrafted designer kitchens and furniture. You can see it. And you can feel it.

Our wood elements come from Danish, FSC-certified producers. This means we can stand behind responsible forestry – for the forests, for the people who work with them, and for the nature around them.
Iron is our core material. And that’s no coincidence. It is one of the most recycled materials in the world – and at the same time one of the most durable. This allows us to create solutions that don’t just last a long time, but can live on in new forms again and again.
Building responsibly is not about trends for us. It’s about building something that deserves to be used for generations.
