Into the Cold with Alpha One and RackBuddy: Building a Changing Room at -20°C
Some places just hit you with their raw beauty – and Arvidsjaur in Lapland is one of them. Tucked away in the Swedish wilderness, Alpha One has built an arctic playground for grown-ups: snowmobiles, husky sledding, ice karting and ice fishing – all wrapped in snow, silence, and that crisp northern light. But behind the thrill lies a very real, very practical challenge: how do you deal with hundreds of kilos of outdoor gear – helmets, thermal suits, heavy boots – day after day, when your guests have to gear up in minus 20?

The answer? A heated container. Or more accurately – a changing base where guests can switch from travel clothes to full-on snow gear in minutes. The real challenge? Finding a solution that not only fit the space, but could also hold the weight. Because the gear Alpha One uses is no joke – and that’s where RackBuddy came in.
It all started with a message: “We need something that can carry the weight – and still look good.” One look at the location photos and we knew – this wasn’t just about storage. This was a chance to build something that actually added to the experience. Functional, beautiful and completely tailored to fit in.
So we hit the road. Martin and Lasse drove north – way north – all the way through Sweden and deep into snow-covered Lapland. The container was waiting: insulated, heated, but completely empty. From there, it was game on. Every part of the solution had to be built to fit. Our system needed to work with the container’s dimensions, every shelf and pipe placed for both flow and load, and the whole thing tough enough to survive the cold, day after day.

We went with our Original Collection – not just built to last, but built to evolve. Modular shelving that Alpha One can tweak over time. And we made sure the space didn’t just work – it looked like part of the brand. Not a storage closet, but a core part of the arctic experience.
When we stepped back, the plain container had transformed. Every hook and rail right where it should be. The suits hanging perfectly. Helmets easy to grab. And guests flowing through the space without friction – it was part of the adventure, not a barrier before it.

Alpha One and RackBuddy? It’s a natural match. They create wild, adrenaline-fueled moments in the snow. We build the structure that makes it all come together. Not just storage – but systems that elevate the whole experience.
So the next time you’re suiting up in a warm container somewhere in the frozen north, ready to hit the snow – that design you’re leaning against? That might just be us. Right there in the background. And exactly where we’re meant to be.
