STOC concept store in Esbjerg
In March 2016 we were in Esbjerg to furnish STOC – a men’s clothing store that was opening in brand new premises with almost 300 square metres The RackBuddy team created a total solution for STOC and designed the store, was responsible for all assembly, the workmanship, decorations and lighting, which is particularly essential for a clothing store today – where it is all about standing out.
We had previously enjoyed a fruitful relationship with STOC, which was started by Jeppe Støckler, when making over the STOC store in Kolding Shopping Centre. See photos of the project in Kolding here. With a desire to open another concept store in Esbjerg with the same rough and industrial style that we had created in Kolding, this challenge was just the right thing for us. This time it was larger rooms, while the style and the final look needed to reflect the STOC concept, so the customer can identify with it which can create a greater desire to buy.
In the new STOC store in Esbjerg, our skilled interior designer has certainly had ample opportunity to show off her skills and creative ideas for how to display clothes. The entire store is built up in universes of small stories, so the customer can constantly let themselves be inspired and drawn in. The clothes are 100% in focus, but it is the surroundings that allow the final impression to stick in the customers' minds. This has been important for STOC, that with the new and large store there was a focus on giving the people of Esbjerg an entirely new experience when shopping for menswear. We must say, that they got it.
A new element in the STOC concept has been added - STOC HOME ! In close collaboration with out interior designer, Jeppe has developed the STOC HOME department. STOC HOME is a home décor universe with a focus on Danish design and affordable products. The brands are carefully selected for the store and feature up and coming designers. It must now be tested over the next year. The concept of mixing menswear and home décor has not been seen before in these parts. But the customer should be inspired and surprised each time they visit the store and it also opens up a whole new audience – the female segment.
Lamps from James Bond
Around the store, you will encounter a lot of cool items in the form of old industrial lamps, light boxes and letters, old medicine cabinets etc. All these things were carefully selected and found by Nynne, our interior designer. She has a sharp eye for these old and antique finds. Things are brought back from all over Europe and repaired. Among the items are lamps from a James Bond movie and a well-known German porn star hung one of the lighted letters. It is nice that the customer can hear the funny little stories about the objects.
We have enjoyed the collaboration we have had with Jeppe and his talented staff throughout the process and it probably will not be the last time that we do something together. The concept store in Esbjerg contributes energy and a breath of fresh air to the local community and regularly organises events for the young gentlemen in Esbjerg, which we are happy that we could help support. We wish them the best of luck with the STOC store, which is the second in the series.
